Linda's Comments About Her Art

I've always wanted to create art. When I was a teen, I sent for a correspondence course that taught me how to paint in oils, mixing colors, brush strokes, and drawing. I always draw a sketch lightly on the canvas before I paint. Then I mix colors on my palette and begin painting the top portion of the painting first, working my way down to the bottom. Signing is the last step. I love colors and always create lively, colorful, energetic paintings. I have at least 2 styles of art...a folk style depicting animals or birds with cute faces, and a more traditional style. Some of my paintings display a whimsical quality. My landscapes and water scenes have sometimes been described as nostalgic and mystical, sometimes a combination of folk and more realistic. I love to paint, and to share my unique perspective with others.

About Linda

Linda Trinckes has been painting in oils since she was 15. Her painting are in many prominent collections. She began making Artist Teddy Bears and soft sculpture animals in her 20's and for the past 10 years she hand sculpts OOAK Art Dolls and Santas in Polymer Clay.

The other half of Trinckes Art. John is a retired music teacher who enjoys curating dolls and bears. He has made original folk instruments and miniature doll Furniture.
